Sergio Granados A.

President

Commercial Engineer from the University of Chile, with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He served as Director of the Budget Office at the Ministry of Finance and Vice Chairman of the Board of the State-Owned Enterprises System (SEP), leading key processes in fiscal management and state modernization.

He has held executive positions in institutions such as Empresa Periodística La Nación S.A., Empresa Eléctrica Pehuenche S.A., and the University of Chile Television Corporation. He also served as Pro-Rector of the University of Playa Ancha and has provided consulting services to national and international organizations in public management and fiscal policy.

Jaime Gatica Barros

Vice President

Jaime Gatica holds a degree in Business and Economics from the University of Chile and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame, United States.
He currently teaches Macroeconomics and Microeconomics in the MBA program and diploma courses at the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Chile.
He has an outstanding track record in both the public and private sectors. He has served as Director of the Carabineros' Social Security Directorate (DIPRECA); Head of the Planning, Studies, and Investment Division at the Ministry of Planning (MIDEPLAN); and Head of the Regional Development Division at SUBDERE, Ministry of the Interior.
In the private sector, he was CEO of the National Association of Soft Drinks (ANBER), an industry group that brought together major companies in the sector, such as Coca-Cola Chile, Embonor, Andina, and CCU, among others.
At the international level, he has worked as an expert for the International Labour Organization (ILO), and as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), leading projects in countries such as Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay.
He was also a founder of the Chilean Society of Public Policy.
Alongside Desarrollo País, he has served on the boards of companies and organizations such as ENACAR, ESVAL, and the National Fisheries Council.

Laura Albornoz

Principal Director

Abogada y doctora en Derecho Civil por la Universidad de Sevilla, España. Actualmente es profesora titular de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Chile y se ha especializado en materias de derecho civil, género, políticas públicas y gobierno corporativo.

Ha sido ministra del Servicio Nacional de la Mujer (SERNAM), presidenta de la Comisión Interamericana de Mujeres de la OEA, y directora de empresas públicas como Codelco y ENAP. También ha asesorado a organismos internacionales como ONU Mujeres, PNUD y el BID en temas de equidad de género y derechos humanos.

Su trayectoria combina una destacada labor académica con una amplia experiencia en políticas públicas, gestión directiva y asesoría jurídica tanto en Chile como en América Latina.

Patricio Rojas R.

Principal Director

Patricio Rojas holds a degree in Business and Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a Master’s in Economics from the same institution, and a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.

He has served as Dean of the School of Business and Economics at Universidad Finis Terrae; Associate Professor at the Institute of Economics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; in the Research Division of the Central Bank of Chile; and as Managing Partner at the consulting firm Rojas + Asociados, among other positions.

Alongside his role at Desarrollo País, he currently serves on the boards of Blumar S.A., Lipigas S.A., BCI Finanzas Corporativas S.A., Grupo Patio SaP, and Patio Comercial SaP.

Rodrigo Azocar H.

Principal Director

Rodrigo Azocar holds a Civil Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de Chile and holds a specialization diploma in Finance from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

Throughout his professional career, he has served as CEO of ENAP, Metro S.A., Esval and Aguas del Valle. He has also served as Corporate Manager of CORFO and Chairman of the Board of Metro S.A. and SEP, among others. He has been consultant to the Ministry of Economy and the IDB.

In addition to Desarrollo País, he also sits on the boards of ENAP, Prohabit S.A., Metro de Bogotá S.A. and IAM (Inversiones Aguas Metropolitanas) S.A.

Claudio Agostini G.

Claudio Agostini es Ingeniero Comercial de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. También es Magíster y PhD. en Economía de la Universidad de Michigan (EEUU).
Actualmente es Profesor Titular de la Facultad de Economía y Ciencias de la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. En su actividad académica, cuenta con diversas publicaciones, especializándose en Finanzas Públicas, Organización Industrial, Energía y Econometría Aplicada.
Ha sido profesor en universidades internacionales como Universidad de Georgetown y la Universidad de Michigan (EEUU). Es investigador asociado del Office of Tax Policy Research (OTPR) en la Universidad de Michigan e investigador principal del Sola Energy Research Center (SERC). Además, ha sido consultor del BID, el Fondo Monetario Internacional, el Banco Mundial y la Cepal.

Erwin Hahn H.

Erwin Hahn is a Civil Engineer graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, he holds an MBA from University of Chicago and has been part of programs at Harvard Business School, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Throughout his professional career he has served as professor and headmaster of the School of Administration of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has worked at the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy; Banco de Chile, BAT Benelux N.V., Consorcio Agroindustrial Malloa S.A.; Embotelladora Andina and Härting S.A., among others.

In addition to Desarrollo País, he is a member of the boards of Redbanc S.A., Empresa Portuaria de Valparaíso S.A. and Euroamerica S.A., among others. He has previously served on the boards of Ferrocarriles Suburbanos S.A., CMPC, Tecnologías Colaborativas Educativas S.A., among others.

Ignacio Swett L.

Ignacio Swett is a Civil Engineer graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

He has worked at Electrogas S.A.; Transelec S.A.; Eléctrica Pangue S.A.; Eléctrica Pehuenche S.A.; Endesa, Concesionario SCL S.A., Besalco S.A., Colbún S.A., among others.

He has also been a member of the board of directors of Mediterráneo S.A., Besalco S.A., Concesiones Melipilla S.A., Inmobiliaria Quinta Normal S.A., among others.

Currently, in addition to Desarrollo País, he also sits on the board of Villalba S.A., Fundación Puente and Fundación Rodelillo.

M. Valeria González

Valeria González es abogada de la Universidad de Chile, Diploma de Innovación Corporativa de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y LLM de American University. Actualmente es Gerente de Asuntos Legales de GNL Quintero S.A. y miembro del Comité de Cumplimiento de dicha empresa. Cuenta con mas de 25 años de experiencia en sectores regulados, particularmente, telecomunicaciones y energía y una vasta experiencia en materias de derecho corporativo, comercial, cumplimiento normativo, entre otros. Dentro de su trayectoria profesional se ha desempeñado como abogada en el mundo público y privado, destacando la Dirección Legal y de Asuntos Corporativos en Nextel S.A. y WOM S.A. y de secretaria abogada del Consejo Directivo del Coordinador Eléctrico Nacional. Adicionalmente ha desempeñado actividades académicas como profesora ayudante en el MBA de la Universidad de Chile.

Ricardo Zabala H.

Ricardo Zabala holds a Business Administration degree with a major in Economics from Universidad de Chile and a Master of Arts in Economics from Duke University.

He has worked at the National Planning Office and was a professor at Universidad de Chile and Universidad del Desarrollo. He has also held positions at Citicorp Latin America; Citigroup Emerging Markets, at Asesorías e Inversiones Fischer & Zabala Ltda; among others.

Along with Desarrollo País, he sits on the board of Visión AGF S.A., and has previously served on the boards of Funeraria del Hogar de Cristo, AFP Habitat, Grupo Siembra, Empresa Eléctrica Rucatayo S.A., Casino and Hoteles Dreams S.A., among others.
